Honoring Lives Lost to Homelessness
An Orange County Homeless Memorial Service
MISSION & HISTORY
Every year, tens of thousands of unhoused individuals across the country lose their lives to preventable causes–illness, harsh weather, overdose, suicide, and violence. These preventable deaths claim lives right here in Orange County.

Join us as we remember and honor these valued individuals–our neighbors, our brothers and sisters, people deserving of dignity and respect.
CANCELED
Dear Valued Supporters and Donors,
We regret to inform you that the Homeless Memorial Service, Light in The Darkness: Honoring Lives Lost to Homelessness, scheduled for December 21 has been canceled. This decision was made after learning that one of our key partners has chosen to withdraw from the event due to a change in their organizational direction.
Despite this setback, we remain committed to our original vision and passion: to remember and honor those who have lost their lives while living on the streets–these valued individuals, our neighbors, our brothers and sisters, people deserving of dignity and respect. These preventable deaths from illness, harsh weather, overdose, suicide, and violence claim lives right here in Orange County. The Homeless Memorial Service has always given us a sacred space to gather in their memory, and our unwavering commitment to this important purpose will continue.
Looking ahead, we are eager to seek new partnerships to ensure that future memorial services continue to honor the lives of those we have lost. If you or your organization would be interested in partnering with us for this meaningful service, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your support and connections are invaluable to us.
We are deeply grateful for your continued dedication to our mission of preventing chronic homelessness and honoring those affected.
